Back in August I picked up a Bianchi Axis (61cm - hard to find cross bikes that big) to do some backroads touring, but then I ended up falling in with a bad crowd - cyclocross racers. Once Brandon and Greg showed me how to get back on the bike without damaging my dangly bits, I got the harebrained idea of actually coming out of retirement and racing the damn thing. So, after getting sandblasted and coming in DFL in the 45+ category at Frisco a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try the 35+/4s at Interlocken today.
The good news: I didn't DFL today, and I had fun (in a sick sort of way).
The bad: I'm still near the back (what's the opposite of a hole shot?)

Onwards to Boulder Reservoir (maybe) and Harlow Platts Park!
